My Book List

I love to read and I cover a variety of genres: historical fiction, nonfiction, science fiction, memoirs, documentary, short stories and essays. If you have read either of my posts lamenting the fact that my children are more into electronics than books, you can understand how my love of reading makes their aversion even less understandable. I organized a book group which is still together after 12 years. We tackle some pretty interesting works together and also read a lot on our own. I am going to try to comment on a couple of books I have read each month and you can find what my thoughts were on this page. Let me know if you have read the piece and please add your comments, or inform me if my description inspired you to pick it up.

“You’re the same today as you’ll be in five years except for the people you meet and the books you read.”
– Charlie “Tremendous” Jones
“The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
– Dr. Seuss, “I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!”

I’m glad you found this page. I had some trouble setting it up. You have to go to the sidebar and click on the book(s) listed to read the review. If you have any hints on how to simplify this w/o putting it up as a post, I would love to hear your suggestion. Thanks, Laura
